Online education in India is gaining importance rapidly as it is easily accessible to many students. Online education now has a large numbers of users across India. Moreover, users are not just limited to the major cities of India. There are a large number of takers for online education from smaller cities as well. The number of student users logging in has escalated by 2.5 times in one year’s time.
As per the statistics revealed by anonline education portal in India, around 90,000 users across India, sign up or register on an education site every month. The statistics shows that Uttar Pradesh has 6000-7000 students registering for online studies every month. Delhi accounts for 20% of the total online users across the country. Maharashtra holds the 2nd position with 11-12% users, followed by Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh with each showing 8-9% of e-learning website users.
Among the online course offered, students prefer mathematics and science subjects followed by the English subject. Commerce is also opted by sufficient number of students. The least preferred subject by student users is Humanities.
